Special Initiatives Award
This Award is presented by the State LTC Ombudsman to
a LTC Community Ombudsman who has, in the last year, initiated a special project – such as:
*a grant proposal
*advocacy
issue
*special event
This special initiative
must have:
*contributed to the well-being of long-term care residents
*been above and beyond expectations for ombudsman
duties
In
addition, this Ombudsman has been able to satisfactorily perform his or her other ombudsman duties while taking on the special
initiative.
